Description:
This kit was an Out Of Box build, meaning that there are close to no modifications for this kit. The only modifications I performed were:
  1. Adding of thrusters (3.0mm) to the bottom of the feet with Kotobukiya detailing parts. I planned to add a one more to each feet at the other side actually but I did not have a smaller thruster on hand (2.0mm). I painted the internal part black but I now regret it because I think I should have painted it red. Drilling the hole to fit in the thrusters still needs improvement though.
  2. The rifle scope. I somehow accidentally lose the original scope and luckily Bandai released the Builders Parts MS Lens so I got it and painted it with clear blue and the back of the lens I tried putting on reflective silver foil sticker. The effect wasn't what I wanted though. And I also had to add a piece of pla plate in between the lens as the original scope was just the transparent part.
  3. The mouth was unfortunately broken into half when I was cutting it and this took me the most trouble to try to fix it. I used epoxy putty which ended up filling the lines as well and then it was really difficult to scribe back the lines. Therefore I used pencil to line it, which was why it wasn't so obvious.

There were cracks too in the hand armor as a result of fitting the painted piece which has become thicker due to excessive painting.

I had a really hard time taking photos of this model kit as the blue color of the kit in the photos I took did not reflect the real color of my kit, which was indigo blue. I tried adjusting the lighting many many times but still faced the same problem. Then I tried adjusting the color temperature of the Auto White Balance of my camera and got the color to look close enough. However, I still needed to adjust the Hue/Saturation of my blue color. Initially, I didn't know that I could adjust the Hue/Saturation of blue color only. I adjusted the "Master" properties, which caused other colors to be affected as well.

All of the photos taken also had their colors/level/contrast adjusted so that the result is better, compared to the previous photos I took for other model kit

Personal Note:
Finally completed another Gundam model after taking a long break. This model was given to me as a Christmas gift a year ago so I had added pressure to complete it. Having said that, I started building this back in February and only finally managed to complete it in December (there were many long breaks in between). Freedom Gundam has always been one of my favorite Gundam of all and even though I've already owned an MG Freedom, it's the first time that I am actually painting it.
